Your PRIVATE forum - the Credit Analysis |
|
|
Your Private Forum I usually set up your private forum within a day of your order and I'll get to your Analysis within a week. When I get too busy, I add an announcement to the order page. Your private forum will remain available for 6 months from your last order. It is very helpful and saves some time if you post at your private forum a BRIEF description of your credit goals, previous disputes, known problems and any questions before I review your reports. Once I have a few days to focus exclusively on YOUR credit, I post your: - derogatory accounts in separate topics (I copy/paste the exact reporting from each myFICO credit report and I highlight important data) The pdf of the private forum for a client who needed to settle all collections for a job. Note the 112 posts in the settlement topic. I summarize each contact with a creditor/collector/CRA in a new subtopic so that clients are always informed within minutes of any communications. - I note what's obviously wrong, I post links to relevant CreditFactors knowledgebase entries and my questions. - When I have a solid understanding of your account history, I annotate the accounts and I draft the recommended disputes with credit bureaus and collectors. (account annotations) - I again answer your questions, possibly modify the disputes and then you mail the disputes to the credit bureaus and collectors. - About a month later, you provide the credit bureau investigation results (by fax or pdf), any new collection letters and a new set of myFICO reports. IMPORTANT: If you get collection letters or you have additional questions while we wait for the credit bureau results, I can certainly work with you. However, during the initial review you have my undivided attention as I only work with one new client at a time. I'm focused on YOUR accounts and YOUR problems and goals and that's how I can accomplish so much in just a few hours (over several days). Once I started to work with another client, it takes a lot more of my time to answer questions about your accounts as I have to read the postings again. - I review the results, letters and new reports, update your forum with the changes on the report, move corrected/deleted accounts to the "DONE" sub topic. - We decide what to do next. At this point, it often depends on whether you're willing to sue, send another round of disputes or just make the best of your credit as it is. Occasionally, everything gets corrected and I give you long term recommendations to make the best of your credit. - If accounts seriously impacting on your credit rating were not corrected or deleted, I can provide you with an affidavit regarding your damages for second credit bureau or collector disputes. - Sometimes this is the time to settle legitimate collections if they negatively impact on FICO scores or you need to have charge-offs and collections showing paid for a job or mortgage. Please see Settling Accounts for more info. IMPORTANT: This cycle of disputing and reviewing the results could go on forever if you don't sue. Often one credit bureau will just NOT correct relevant reporting. However, few people want to file lawsuits and if 2 of the 3 reports are ok, that goes a long way. Mortgages often are rated by the middle score and you can still get good credit offers based on the two good reports. It's NOT about getting the correctest credit reports or the highest scores, it's about making the best of your credit with REASONABLE efforts and improving your credit so you can accomplish what you want to do. |
